TToT

First week at home taking care of Sophia with a body cast on all by myself. Except for a couple of sleepless nights I'd say it hasn't been bad at all. I am very, very tired but not frustrated and I am pleased with that.
My list this week is simple, no description of any of my ten things cause I am tired,  did I mention I was tired? Cause I am! Anyway, here is my list:

Ten Things of Thankful

1. I was nominated for the Liebster award, an award for new bloggers. (will post about it later)
2. Sophia is her happy self.
3. At home easy and cheap hair dye.
4. Barney and Bob the Builder On Demand.
5. Sophia's beautiful smile and contagious laughter.
6. Being able to be home to take care of my daughter.
7. Sophia's teacher taking the time to come to our home to learn how to take care of the cast when Sophia goes back to school.
8. My fall television shows start new episodes next week!
9. Pumpkin latte is back.
10. Only 2 weeks left in the cast!!

Off to bed!

  1. I read your last post, so I have an idea of the struggles you've had this week. Just an idea, though. I am inspired by you each and every time I read your posts. Your positive attitude shines through, even in such difficult circumstances. The love you have for your daughter is plastered over every page. It's beautiful.
I pray Sophia continues to heal properly, feel better, and be less frustrated. I pray you get some much-needed rest.

  2. Hang in there! It must be very labor-intensive to care for someone in a full body cast.

    1. This is our third time around so we are familiar with it but because she is bigger it's a lot heavier. Thank you!

  3. I echo Lizzi's sentiments!! Hang in there...two more weeks. I pray that you will be able to get a little rest this week! And I am so glad your Sophia is happy...I know that makes it easier to care for her sweet self even when you are delirious with exhaustion!

  5. simple and direct, your list is the kind of list I try for (in my own way), speaking from the heart, without apologies or excuses, what is good is what you are thankful for...very inspiring.

  7. I was missing in action (and still am) so I unfortunately missed your post about Sophia's surgery. Will read it now.

Anyway, so good to hear that she is happy and obviously well. Hang in there, the time without the cast is coming closer each day! xo
