I was an English teacher in Colombia who wanted to get some experience in an English speaking country, so I came to work at a ski resort and then extended my work visa to stay a little longer and work as a paraprofessional at a special education classroom (irony much?), there I learned more than a couple of things that would help me a few years later.
After a couple of years i was lacking of motivation to keep living so far from my family and decided to move back home for good and I gave myself 6 months to learn, to save and to enjoy this country. Little did I know that life had different plans for me. In October 2005 I met the man who would be the father of my beautiful Sophia. It was truly love at first sight, we knew we had found each other and decided to walk together from that moment on. Here is a picture during our trip to San Francisco:

We got married a year later on a beautiful day in September and even though my family could not be there with us, it was one of the happiest days of my entire life. And this is how everything started.

ReplyDeleteRecuerdo el día que decidiste regresar, no mentiré mi corazón se embargo de infinita alegría, tal vez eran mas mis ganas de tenerte cerca que el verte lejos ,un poco egoísta, pero como tu misma dices el destino nos tenia preparados caminos diferentes.
Recuerdo cuando me llamaste contando con alegría que habías encontrado alguien que llenaba de amor y de mariposas tu vida, me alegre mucho aunque sabia que con esto te perdería, bueno la verdad nunca te perdí siempre haz estado aquí solo que aprendí la diferencia de algo presencial a la distancia y al verdadero amor de hermandad.
Finalmente recuerdo el gran día, me levante súper temprano solo para verte jajajaj por la webcam y ser parte de este mágico momento.
Amiga aunque estas lejos, siempre estas aquí a mi lado siempre estas presente en mi corazón y en mis oraciones y me alegro que Dios , la vida el universo confabulara para darte la familia que hoy tienes, a pesar de todas las pruebas siempre haz sabido salir adelante.
